To completely remove Dropbox, you’ll need to do the following:

  1. sudo apt-get remove nautilus-dropbox
  2. rm -rf ~/.dropbox
  3. rm -rf ~/.dropbox-dist

And then you’ll also need to

  • killall nautilus

in order to kill Nautilus.  It should then be completely removed from the system.
